Welcome from the

METROPOLITAN & CITY
CATHOLIC POLICE GUILD

Formed on the Feast of Corpus Christi, 1914, the Metropolitan & City Catholic Police Guild is the oldest apostolate for Catholic police officers and staff in Great Britain.

Being a Catholic is not easy, and being a Catholic in Policing is even harder.  The Guild exists for the sanctification of its members and their families (including those departed), ultimately aiding in the conversion of England and establishing the reign of Christ the King as the ultimate solution for a peaceful society.

THE APOSTOLATE & OTHER WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

At its heart, the Guild manifests its Catholicity with a hierarchical spiritual apostolate open to all members, to encourage discussion, fraternal support and camaraderie between members.

There are, however, a wide range of ways to get involved with the Guild, not all of which require a membership subscription.

PURGATORIAL
SOCIETY

The communion of saints is the spiritual solidarity which binds the faithful on earth, the souls in purgatory, and the saints in heaven in the organic unity of the same mystical body under Christ, its head.

The CPG Purgatorial Society offers Masses for deceased CPG members and families.

WAYS
TO HELP

Police officers are drawn from communities, indicatively with a richer proportion of Catholics doing so versus the population.  The seventh Peelian Principle states that police undertake a set of duties incumbent on every citizen; that the police are the public, and the public are the police. Catholics in Policing need your help.
