On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Guild in 1939, the Banner was presented to and adopted by the Guild, likely paid from member contributions.
It was used for various religious and ceremonial occasions; but in the mid 1990s was found stored in a vestment drawer in Westminster Cathedral.
Handed to the then chairman of the Guild, Bernard Luckhurst QPM, he charged Maurice Smith with its safe care. For 25 years Maurice tended to the Banner. He proudly processed with it at the Corpus Christi procession in 2022.
Please remember in your prayers all those benefactors and custodians of this relic – which signifies the commitment, professionalism, and sacrifices of Catholics in policing.
Elements from the Banner inspire the Guild's logo.

The Guild logo derives the fish of Christ from the Banner, blending blue policing iconography.
The Banner ordinarily hangs in our Home Church, Corpus Christi, on Maiden Lane.
